Artist

Born in Giza in 1980, Sharkawy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Art from Helwan University. He is a popular artist whose work concentrates mainly on creating depictions of everyday life in Egypt swathed in a cacophony of colors. He has produced dynamic and vivid images recreating Egyptian weddings, local festivals, walks on the sea shore, a day at the beach as well as circus scenes among others. He has participated in many exhibitions and his work has been acquired by collectors both in Egypt and abroad.
